Rep. Dave Loebsack (D-IA-02) toured Siemens’ Fort Madison, IA wind turbine blade manufacturing facility on Wednesday, June 13th, and spoke with employees about the renewable energy production tax credit (PTC), Keokuk’s Daily Gate City reported:

“One of the Siemens employees asked Loebsack what could be done to get the tax credit renewed.

“Loebsack said everyone has to keep pushing for it. He said write letters to him and to all members of Congress. He said sometimes emails to Congress members from other states get filtered out, but people need to try. He also suggested writing letters to the editors to some of the major papers in the country, like the Chicago Tribune. It may not get printed, but people will notice it is an issue in the country.”
